According to Expo 2020 officials at a media closing ceremony update today, there are still some exciting things happening on the campus, particularly for the closing ceremony. Here's everything we know so far about the Expo 2020 closing ceremony.
When and where will the closing ceremony be held?
As with the opening ceremony, Al Wasl will host and narrate the official closing ceremony of Expo 2020. The Al Wasl dome has frequently been referred to as Expo 2020's heartbeat, so this feels like a full-circle moment.

What can we expect from the closing ceremony of Expo 2020?
During the hour-long pre-show, Expo 2020 visitors can expect 36 minutes of harmonized orchestric music from the World String Ensemble, which will perform musical compositions from around the world that are often performed alone by each pavilion. This is intended to demonstrate the harmony found throughout Expo 2020 through the language of music. The closing ceremony will also feature musicians who have performed on the various stages and courtyards throughout the Expo 2020 campus. The most anticipated moments of the closing ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., when the Al Wasl dome will speak, narrating the Expo 2020 experience, including segments titled Sea of Nations and Garden of Memories. The specifics of what will be included in these sections have yet to be determined.
Is the closing ceremony going to be open to the public?
Although some sections of the Al Wasl dome will be closed to VIP visitors, such as the Inner Gardens of Al Wasl, others will be open to the public. The public will be allowed to enter the outer rim of Al Wasl on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors will also be able to book seats at the Jubilee Stage and the Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre (DMA). Again, these spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
And, at 3 a.m., the gates at Expo 2020 will be closed for the final time.
But where will be the best place to watch the fireworks?
At today's media briefing, Expo 2020 event organizers confirmed that visitors will be able to enjoy and observe the fireworks from anywhere on the Expo 2020 campus, as the fireworks will launch from several different locations.
When will Expo 2020 close for the final time?
Despite the fact that Expo 2020 concludes on Thursday, March 31, the park will remain open until 3 a.m. on Friday, April 1. The Expo 2020 campus will close its doors for the final time at 3 a.m. on Friday, April 1.
